Oxmed Urostomy

Urostomy is performed to create a new path for urine to leave the body when the bladder and urethra cannot function normally. Oxmed manufactures various urostomy products (pouches, accessories) used after the procedure.

Primary Indications for a Urostomy:

• Cancer

• Bladder Dysfunction

• Birth Defects

• Trauma

• Chronic Inflammation or Infection

• Urinary Fistulas

The goal of the procedure is to bypass a diseased or damaged lower urinary system, restoring proper function and improving quality of life.

Urostomy Pouches (Bag):
The non-return valve in our urostomy pouches prevents urine from flowing back towards the stoma. The risk of leakage is minimal, even when lying down.
