Mechanism of Action

The sheets work by providing a semi-occlusive barrier that hydrates the scar tissue.
This moisture retention is thought to reduce blood supply and collagen volume, which helps to soften and flatten the scar.

When to Use

Fresco silicone sheets should only be applied once the wound is completely closed and any stitches/sutures have been removed.

Early application after wound closure is key to preventing abnormal scar formation.

The sheets can be worn day and night, typically for several months, and are washable and reusable for an extended period.
