Directions for Use

To use ActivHeal Hydrogel, first clean the wound and dry the skin around it, then apply the gel directly as a primary dressing in a layer at least 5mm thick, covering any dead space, and secure with a secondary dressing like foam or film; change every 2-4 days or as advised, removing gently with water or saline.

Step-by-Step Application

• Wash Hands: Start by thoroughly washing and drying your hands.

• Cleanse Wound: Gently clean the wound area and pat the surrounding skin dry.

• Apply Gel: Squeeze the gel from the tube onto the wound, ensuring a layer of at least 5mm thick covers the entire area, even packing into cavities.

• Secure with Secondary Dressing: Cover the hydrogel with a suitable secondary dressing, like a foam or film, to hold it in place and absorb excess fluid.

• Change Dressing: Replace the dressing every 2-4 days, or as directed by a healthcare professional, depending on the wound’s condition and exudate level.

• Removal: When changing, irrigate the gel off with water or saline; it should come off easily and without discomfort.
